Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Fund Formation Lawyer with more than six years of experience to join their Investment Funds practice in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have significant experience advising sponsors on fund formation matters and limited partners, including sovereign funds, on investments in private equity funds and other private investment vehicles.

Duties

• Advise sponsors on fund formation and structuring.
• Guide limited partners on investments in private equity funds.
• Handle investor negotiations and governance matters.
• Manage ongoing regulatory and compliance issues.
• Collaborate on private equity transactions and financings.

Requirements

• Over six years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with 1940 Act matters expected.
• Experience with '40 Act funds is a plus.
• Depth in energy and infrastructure-focused funds preferred.
• Experience with cross-border fund structures desired.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
