Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Finance Associate to join the Banking and Finance Practice Team in Kalamazoo, MI. This role involves assisting in a variety of transactions representing commercial lenders and borrowers, including working capital lines of credit, term loan facilities, real estate facilities, and asset-based lending.
Duties
- Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting credit facilities.
- Represent both borrowers and lenders in commercial finance transactions.
- Manage single- and multi-bank deals, including secured and unsecured facilities.
- Maintain high responsiveness and attention to detail across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in commercial finance transactions.
- Experience with both borrowers and lenders in finance deals.
- Strong drafting and analytical skills.
- Exceptional customer/client service skills.
- Admission to the Michigan bar.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
