Job Overview:
A law office seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Family Law practice in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is designed for attorneys with at least two years of Texas family law litigation experience who are ready to focus on courtroom advocacy while receiving comprehensive administrative, marketing, and litigation support. The attorney will manage complex family law matters from intake through final resolution with dedicated staff assistance.

Duties:

• Manage family law cases from intake through final decree
• Lead litigation strategy for contested divorces, SAPCR (Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship) matters, and protective order proceedings
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and first-chair trials
• Advise clients on Texas family law matters and legal strategy
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and other legal documents
• Conduct depositions and participate in mediation proceedings
• Handle courtroom appearances in Harris County and surrounding Texas courts, as required
• Manage a high-volume family law litigation docket
• Work closely with assigned paralegals and billing coordinators throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of dedicated Texas family law litigation experience
• Ability to independently manage complex family law cases
• Significant courtroom and hearing experience
• Experience handling contested family law matters
• Experience with estate and guardianship proceedings preferred
• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment
• Bilingual (preferred but not required)

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing (minimum two years licensed)
