Mid- / Senior-level Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Valhalla, NY, seeks a skilled Mid-/Senior-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will represent business owners, landlords, managing agents, security services organizations, and other commercial entities in general liability litigation matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in general liability litigation, including business owners and commercial entities.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, memos, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court proceedings and represent clients during trials and hearings.
• Participate in depositions, conferences, and mediations.
• Interact with medical experts and effectively incorporate medical evidence into cases.
• Conduct thorough legal and medical research and analysis.
• Prepare and argue motions on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in New York.
• 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation or comparable litigation experience.
• Familiarity with New York Labor Law is advantageous.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, maintaining client confidence and trust.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
