A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Texas to join its dynamic Litigation Practice Group. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail, thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing mature files as needed.

Duties

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including admissions, disclosures, and interrogatories.
• Attend and manage hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, ensuring compliance with court rules.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop case strategies and negotiate settlements.
• Analyze and research case law, statutes, and regulations impacting clients.
• Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies, courts, and counsel.
• Organize and manage documents in complex litigation cases.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
• 4-6 years of civil litigation experience.
• Deep knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.
• Hearing and trial experience.
• Interest or experience in governmental entity, environmental, utility, construction law, and/or complex litigation.

Education

• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.)

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas
