Assistant General Counsel
The candidate will provide advice and counsel to firm and its affiliates on a variety of health care regulatory, contractual and operational issues. Will work with all levels of leadership to support the organization's strategic vision, mission and values. Provides legal analysis and advice related to a wide variety of healthcare business and operational issues, including patient care matters, physician-hospital relationships (including medical staff, credentialing, and peer review issues), partnership and vendor opportunities, professional and hospital licensure. Analyzes and advises on contracts and performs related duties, including negotiating and drafting contracts relating to health care operations, clinical trials, affiliation agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements and professional services agreements. Addresses legal matters including but not limited to HIPAA, GDPR, Medicare, Medicaid, Stark law, Anti-Kickback, radiation safety, biosafety, human and animal subjects research, clinical research, FDA compliance, and the Affordable Care Act. Interprets federal and state legal regulations, and written policies and procedures applicable to health care, research and higher education.
