Senior Associate Counsel
The candidate will provide legal regional support for marketing initiatives in Latin America & Caribbean, including legal review of creative work, marketing materials, advertisement campaigns, sweepstakes, sponsorships, and promotions to identify legal risks and assess such risks in collaboration with marketing agencies and local counsel, acting as a proactive partner in achieving business goals with sense of urgency, but at the same time, protecting brand. Provide legal support for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s business operations in Mexico, Central America, and Caribbean by developing innovative solutions and guide the team along the path to implementation by performing a structured legal analysis based on current complex payments regulatory landscape, proactively identifying and communicating legal risk and, providing advice with creative recommendations and legal solutions. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, such as sponsorship agreements, marketing, advertising, and promotion agreements, memoranda of understanding, technology agreements, consultancy and contractor agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Expertise in relevant areas of the law, including marketing, commercial, intellectual property, antitrust, consumer protection, advertisement regulation, privacy, antibribery, and employment, and understanding of business to generate practical and business-focused legal advice. Should have admitted to practice law in the U.S. Should have 5-8 years of commercial and legal experience in private practice and/or in-house with multinationals. Experience in payments industry and marketing and advertisement law is preferred. Excellent legal analytical skills with ability to untangle and analyze complex legal issues and integrate legal advice and business knowledge, while providing balanced, strategic advice regarding risks and benefits. First-class written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English, including ability to (i) lead or participate in conference calls to negotiate agreements in both languages and (ii) interact with internal and external parties with clarity, conviction, and firmness. Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management and work collaboratively with LAC regional and global teams to ensure effective management within matrix organization over multiple geographical locations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Some international travel may be required.
