A law firm seeks a highly skilled Associate Attorney with a strong background in legal research and writing to join its team. This role is instrumental in developing case strategies, drafting persuasive legal arguments, and supporting litigation efforts in mass tort and complex litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce high-quality legal documents.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis to support litigation strategy

  • Draft compelling legal briefs, motions, and memoranda

  • Collaborate with attorneys to refine arguments and case approaches

  • Edit and review legal documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to court procedures

  • Stay updated on legal developments, case law, and procedural changes

  • Communicate research findings and legal recommendations effectively to the legal team

  • Prepare case law summaries and legal precedents to strengthen litigation efforts

  • Assist in preparing appellate briefs and other high-level legal filings

  • Maintain well-organized legal research files and resources

  • Support case progression by providing strong written advocacy

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • 3-5 years of experience in legal writing, research, or appellate law

  • Proven expertise in drafting persuasive legal documents, including briefs and motions

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures and filing regulations

  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis

  • Ability to analyze complex legal matters and provide strategic insights

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with legal teams

  • Experience in mass tort, complex litigation, or appellate law is preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
