A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Mid-Level to Senior Debt Finance Associate Attorney to contribute significantly to the growth and success of its private credit, acquisition financing, special situations, restructuring, and private equity practices in Dallas, TX. The successful candidate will play a vital role in deal teams, demonstrating expertise in secured lending matters, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructuring, reorganizations, and general corporate finance.

 

Duties:

  • Actively participate in deal teams, contributing expertise in debt finance matters.
  • Take responsibility for running signings and closings, and drafting debt commitment papers and credit documentation.
  • Provide strategic advice and legal guidance on a wide range of secured lending transactions.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to ensure smooth transaction processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to and membership in good standing of the Texas Bar.
  • 7-10 years of experience in debt finance, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Proven track record of handling complex secured lending matters, including acquisitions, restructurings, and corporate finance.
  • Experience as a key member of deal teams, with the ability to take the lead on drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Familiarity with direct lending, special situation financings, and private equity-related corporate finance transactions is advantageous.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Texas Bar.
