This role involves handling business matters from pre-litigation analysis and client consultation to trial, while also managing business transactions, including contract drafting. Duties

• Manage all aspects of business litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, client recommendations, and trial
• Draft and litigate business-related documents, such as purchase-sale agreements, shareholder agreements, loan agreements, and service agreements
• Represent clients in employment law matters, handling issues related to discrimination, wrongful termination, non-compete agreements, and more
• Oversee trials, hearings, and arbitration proceedings, applying knowledge of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing ongoing legal support and advice

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business law and litigation
• Strong background in corporate law, with experience in both drafting and litigating contracts and agreements
• Knowledge of employment law, including experience with FMLA disputes, non-compete agreements, and severance agreements
• Proven first-chair trial and/or arbitration experience
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently with a high degree of initiative and judgment

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Colorado State Bar
