A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their First Party Property Insurance Defense team in Sunrise, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of litigation experience, including at least one year in First Party Property Insurance Defense litigation.

Duties

• Handle legal matters on behalf of clients, including research, counseling, and negotiation.
• Appear in court to prosecute and defend clients' interests.
• Advise clients on business transactions, claims liability, and legal rights.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for client matters.
• Prepare legal documents and develop case strategies.
• Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents.
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on strategies.
• Present cases to judges and juries, planning arguments and counter-arguments.
• Negotiate settlements and develop company policy on legal issues.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Draft and review reports and legal documents.
• Perform administrative and managerial functions related to law practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of litigation experience.
• At least one year of experience in First Party Property Insurance Defense.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Florida Bar.
