Summer Program

The summer program is designed to provide a realistic and rewarding experience reflecting life as a first year associate at the firm. Summer associates are mentored by partners and associates and are given opportunities to participate in a wide range of meaningful assignments and activities such as client meetings, negotiations, court hearings, travel, research, and drafting briefs, pleadings and memos. The program pairs practice-focused seminars and workshops covering areas like writing briefs and legal memoranda, negotiations, legal research, securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions, with practical guidance on general areas such as leveraging the firm's resources to assist along the way. This training is in addition to the ongoing training and development courses provided throughout the year. Summer associates capitalize on opportunities to represent, on a one-on-one basis, pro bono clients of various organizations, including The Legal Aid Society of New York, who lack the legal counsel indispensable to secure benefits that profoundly impact their lives. Second year law students from law schools with strong communication and interpersonal skills will be considered.
