A law firm in Champaign is currently seeking an Attorney with 0-10 years of estate planning experience. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and have an active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing. The Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services in the area of estate planning. This role involves advising clients on matters related to wills, trusts, probate, and other aspects of estate law.

Duties:

• Consult with clients to understand their financial and family situations for effective estate planning.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Provide legal advice on minimizing estate taxes and ensuring smooth wealth transfer.
• Assist clients in establishing and managing trusts for beneficiaries.
• Handle probate proceedings and estate administration.
• Collaborate with financial planners and tax professionals to create holistic estate plans.
• Educate clients on relevant estate laws and changes in regulations.
• Stay updated on legal developments in estate planning.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in estate planning.
• In-depth knowledge of estate and probate laws.
• Strong drafting and document review skills.
