Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in health care, ERISA, and commercial matters, with a focus on drafting litigation documents. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, lawyers, and third parties, producing high-quality work product, and meeting deadlines. This position requires strong legal writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and third parties
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
• Foster positive work relationships
• Comply with all firm policies and practices
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities as required, including working at a computer, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience with drafting litigation documents in health care, ERISA, and commercial litigation matters
• State and federal court experience preferred
• Strong communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail
• Admitted to practice law

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school
• Admission to the state bar
• Additional certifications or qualifications related to litigation are a plus
