Job Overview

A law firm seeks a business litigation associate for its Washington, DC office. The firm handles complex business disputes and white-collar matters nationwide.

Duties

• Research and draft motions and deposition outlines.
• Prepare exhibits and coordinate discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions and manage large complex discovery.
• Participate in business development efforts.

Requirements

• Maximum of 3 years of experience in complex business disputes.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Federal clerkship experience preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for immediate licensing in Washington, DC.
• Maryland and/or Virginia bar is a plus.
• Must be physically located in the Washington, DC area.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Washington, DC.

Skills

• Strong understanding of civil procedure.
• Experience in complex commercial disputes, white collar criminal defense, telecommunications litigation, or privacy litigation.
• Willingness to learn new areas of law.
