A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation in Wilmington, NC. This role involves managing various phases of litigation, including discovery, court appearances, legal research, and drafting legal documents. The attorney will develop strategies for cases involving commercial, regulatory, product liability, and other matters.

Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation for assigned cases.
• Appear before state and federal courts.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct depositions and develop case facts.
• Report case updates to managing attorney and clients.

Requirements

• Must be currently licensed in North Carolina.
• Experience in commercial litigation, insurance defense, or construction defect litigation preferred.
• Trial and deposition experience is a plus.
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
