A law firm seeks a skilled and ambitious Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its Jacksonville, Florida office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of litigation experience, particularly in areas like premises liability, construction defects, personal injury, and professional liability. Duties

• Represent clients in a variety of insurance defense matters, including premises liability, construction defects, personal injury, and professional liability cases.
• Manage cases from initial filing through to trial, handling all aspects of the litigation process.
• Draft pleadings, conduct legal research, and prepare for hearings, motions, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in cases.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies and handle discovery.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, providing expert advice on case strategies and possible outcomes.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients while delivering excellent service and communication.
• Actively contribute to the firm’s growth by efficiently handling cases and being a valuable team member.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 3 to 7 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense.
  • Familiarity with premises liability, construction defects, personal injury, and professional liability preferred.
• Licensing:
  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar, in good standing.
• Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven trial experience and ability to manage cases independently.
  • Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with attention to detail.
  • Strong client service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida State Bar.
