Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Transactional Attorney to lead and expand its finance practice. This opportunity is ideal for a Texas-licensed attorney with more than a decade of experience representing regional banks and financial institutions. The ideal candidate has a strong reputation within the finance legal community, an established referral network, and the ability to independently generate substantial business. This position offers the flexibility to shape and grow a dedicated finance practice while avoiding conflicts with national banks or bankruptcy-related work.
Location:

Duties:
Represent regional banks and financial institutions in a variety of transactional matters
Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, credit agreements, security instruments, and other finance-related contracts
Structure and execute commercial lending transactions, including secured and unsecured financings
Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and compliance issues in banking and finance
Develop and manage a self-sustaining finance law practice
Cultivate and maintain client relationships with regional banks and financial entities
Collaborate with attorneys in related practice groups for cross-functional support
Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm growth
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in finance transactional law
Extensive knowledge of commercial lending and regional banking structures
No conflicts with national banks or bankruptcy practices
Proven business development track record with a portable book of business of $750,000+ annually
Well-established presence in the Texas finance legal community
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in Texas (required)
