Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated health care transactions attorney with at least five years of experience to join their team in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The successful candidate will work with hospitals, health care districts, clinics, physician groups, vendors, and other providers, advising on a broad range of matters including provider and vendor contracting, regulatory compliance, and health care transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate physician services agreements, medical director agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Advise on provider acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures, and related transaction documents.
• Structure transactions to ensure compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws.
• Advise clients on operational, compliance, and transactional health care matters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent, hands-on health care transactional experience.
• Significant responsibility for drafting and negotiating professional services agreements.
• Deep familiarity with federal and state fraud and abuse laws.
• Excellent drafting, project management, and client service skills.
• Bar admission in California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar membership.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of health care regulations and compliance.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• Ability to identify risk and craft compliant structures.
