Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated Patent Agent to join the team in King of Prussia, PA. The role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and global patent offices.

• Duties:

  • Drafting patent applications in collaboration with inventors and attorneys.
  • Prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices.
  • Conduct prior art searches and analyze technical literature.
  • Providing strategic advice on patent portfolio management.

• Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • Ability to think critically and quickly grasp new technologies.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Preferably, some experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
  • Registered to practice before the USPTO or willing to sit for the registration exam.

• Education and Certifications:

  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related scientific disciplines.
