Duties

• Conduct initial client consultations to establish rapport, gather essential case facts, and set clear expectations for case progression.
• Collaborate with investigators to thoroughly gather evidence, assess liability, and evaluate all avenues of recovery.
• Manage pre-litigation negotiations by maintaining productive communication with insurance adjusters while advocating assertively for fair outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategic litigation plans when cases require formal legal action, including preparing pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as needed to achieve optimal case resolutions.
• Maintain clear, consistent client communication, ensuring clients understand every stage of their case and feel confident in their representation.
• Review case files weekly to ensure timely action on all pending matters and to address any potential case challenges proactively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure correspondence, documentation, and case records are thorough, accurate, and legally sound.
• Contribute to firm-wide strategy meetings and share insights to enhance collective case strategies and outcomes.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the state of Minnesota (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, with preference given to those with direct experience in personal injury litigation (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate cases from multiple perspectives to develop creative and effective legal strategies.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to balance assertiveness and professionalism in all client and third-party interactions.
• Ability to manage a significant caseload while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on client empathy and relationship building.
• Proficiency in legal technology platforms for case management, research, and document drafting (preferred).
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Minnesota (required).
