Duties

• Represent public entities in state and federal court and administrative hearings.
• Provide legal advice on public agency, education, and labor and employment law.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents.
• Collaborate with clients and provide strategic guidance on legal issues.
• Stay current on legal developments and provide training to clients.
• Handle collective bargaining and contract grievances.
• Address matters of discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, focusing on labor and employment with public agency and school district matters.
• Proven trial experience.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of California public agency and employment/education laws.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
