Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its team, specializing in local government law and/or labor and employment law. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 5 years of experience in either of these practice areas or a combination of both. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including litigation, administrative proceedings, and public presentations. Duties:

• Represent clients in local government and labor/employment law matters.
• Present at public meetings and participate in administrative hearings and proceedings.
• Manage and litigate cases, providing strategic legal guidance to clients.
• Draft legal documents, including memorandums, pleadings, and other correspondence.
• Provide counsel to clients on a wide range of issues related to government regulations, labor relations, and employment law.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys to support casework and strategy development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in local government law, labor/employment law, or a combination of both.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively in public forums.
• Proven experience in handling administrative and litigation matters.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of client service.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Professional demeanor with an emphasis on collaboration.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).

Skills:

• Expertise in local government law and/or labor and employment law.
• Proven litigation experience, including public hearings and administrative proceedings.
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and client interaction abilities.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
