Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Partner-level Attorney in New Jersey to join its expanding General Liability Defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic litigation team across the Tri-State region, collaborating with experienced attorneys. The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in General Liability Defense and a desire to grow their practice in a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in general liability matters, including personal injury and complex tort defense.
• Serve as a senior leader, collaborating with attorneys and mentoring talent.
• Engage in strategic business development with marketing and operational support.
• Oversee case strategy, client engagement, and litigation through trial or resolution.
• Work with New York-barred attorneys to expand the firm's regional presence.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in New Jersey; New York admission is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in General Liability litigation with a successful track record.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage complex litigation independently.
• Entrepreneurial drive to contribute to the firm's growth in the Tri-State market.
• Portable business is welcome, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New Jersey; New York admission preferred.
