Duties:

• Manage personal injury claims through the pre-litigation phase

• Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations with insurance representatives

• Maintain professional and consistent communication with clients

• Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and legal agreements

• Review and ensure the precision of legal documents prepared

• Supervise and direct support staff by applicable legal standards

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Kansas

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil legal practice

• Preference given to candidates also licensed in Missouri

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the state of Kansas

• Missouri bar membership preferred, but not mandatory

Skills:

• Strong organizational and case management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Client-centered approach with a commitment to responsiveness and empathy

• Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal practice tools

• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and lead support staff effectively
