Duties

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation defense matters

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence

• Handle court appearances, including hearings and pre-trial motions

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

• Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

• Collaborate with firm partners and team members

• Assist with trial preparation and potentially serve as second or first chair at trial

Requirements

• 1–2 years of civil litigation experience preferred

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California

• Strong interest or experience in trial advocacy

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and good standing membership with the California State Bar

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research and writing

• Strong organizational and case management skills

• Experience with litigation tools and case management software

• Capable of performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment
