A law firm seeks a Mid-level Associate to join its Public Finance Practice Group in Raleigh. The successful candidate will work with a team that guides clients through various tax-exempt and taxable financings, including those for non-profit, higher education, and energy infrastructure clients. The role involves navigating all aspects of financing or refinancing, including drafting and negotiating documents and analyzing complex federal tax issues.

Duties

• Review, draft, and analyze credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements.
• Draft and negotiate financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions.
• Review and analyze complex federal tax issues.
• Collaborate with public and private clients across various industries.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in debt finance, public finance, or project finance at a top 100 law firm.
• Experience with real estate, secured lending, and tax-exempt finance transactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
• Strong academic record with excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• North Carolina Bar membership required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills
