Human Resources Manager
The candidate will operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and act as a point of contact for all employees on process and procedures, and guidance on all aspects of the employee life cycle. Interpret and implement human resources policies and procedures for attorneys and staff. Provide guidance to supervisors for employee performance management including counseling, coaching, employee development and retention, warnings and performance improvement plans and termination recommendations. Provide support and resources to employees regarding leaves of absence, benefits and ADA matters. Manage new hire orientation, onboarding, I-9 verifications and staff integration process. Work collaboratively with other teams including Benefits & Compensation, HRIS, Staff Recruiting and Legal Recruiting, Payroll and Finance. Work with Office Administrator on performance management for staff and paralegals and assist with salary and bonus recommendations. Manage employee departures and offboarding, including conducting staff exit interviews. Collaborate on HR Operations team projects and initiatives. Maintain digital and paper records of employees. Provide local support to attorney talent development team. Participate in diversity, pro bono, civic and charitable initiatives and office engagement efforts. Bachelor’s degree or previous experience in a related field such as human resources or business administration, is preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in HR within law firms or professional services firms. PHR or equivalent certificate is preferred.
