Job Overview: The Associate Attorney will play a crucial role in the law firm's patent practice, focusing on drafting and prosecuting intricate patent applications that align with clients' global patent and intellectual property (IP) strategies. This position offers the opportunity to conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis while gaining exposure to preparing patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications that are closely aligned with clients' global patent and IP strategies.
• Conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis to provide strategic insights to clients.
• Prepare patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions to support client decision-making.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of patent experience.
• Technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Admission to the Michigan Bar and registration with the U.S. Patent Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials are required, showcasing a commitment to excellence in the legal field.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bachelors or advanced degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar.
• Registration with the U.S. Patent Bar.
