Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Global Business Immigration to join their team in Petoskey, Michigan. This role supports the Global practice, providing legal advice on non-US immigration cases. Remote candidates are welcome, with the expectation to work Eastern Time Zone hours.

Duties

• Provide strategic legal guidance on global immigration matters.
• Assist in client account management and ensure excellent service delivery.
• Handle complex global cases and accommodate various time zones.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations.
• Manage team workload and ensure billing targets are met.
• Train and supervise case managers and assistants.
• Maintain knowledge of global immigration legal requirements.
• Create and organize knowledge resources for users.
• Collaborate in vetting and training new local advisors.

Requirements

• Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.
• 1-2 years of global immigration experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Proven success in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple priorities independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership.
