Job Title: Labor And Employment Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A Miami-based law firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience handling diverse employment matters. Duties:
Represent clients in litigation related to employment laws, including matters under:
Title VII
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
State-level employment regulations
Conduct workplace investigations and provide strategic advice on personnel decisions
Deliver workplace training and compliance programs for employers
Advocate for clients before federal and state agencies such as the:
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
Other relevant administrative bodies
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions in federal and state court
Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters and share best practices
Maintain awareness of legal developments in employment law and labor relations
Requirements:
1-4 years of substantive experience in employment litigation and client counseling
Demonstrated experience managing cases in both federal and state courts
Prior representation of clients before administrative agencies (EEOC, DOL, etc.)
Strong legal research and analytical writing skills
Confidence in handling multiple assignments with competing deadlines
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active member of the Florida Bar (required)
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of federal and Florida-specific employment statutes and regulations
Practical experience delivering preventative legal counsel to employers
Proficiency with legal drafting, litigation strategy, and oral advocacy
High attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong client service and professional judgment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure
