A respected personal injury law firm is seeking a dedicated Settlements Attorney to manage pre-litigation personal injury cases, primarily involving motor vehicle accidents. This role emphasizes evaluating claims, negotiating settlements, and providing compassionate legal support to clients. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in pre-litigation case management and be comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

Location:

• Atlanta, GA

Duties:

• Evaluate new personal injury cases and recommend appropriate legal actions

• Collaborate with case managers to assess medical records, police reports, and witness statements

• Conduct thorough investigations, including client and expert interviews

• Maintain consistent client communication, offering legal guidance and status updates

• Negotiate settlements directly with insurance adjusters and opposing parties

• Draft settlement proposals and other relevant legal correspondence

• Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with all legal requirements

• Manage and organize case files alongside legal support staff

• Stay current with developments in personal injury law and insurance practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law

• Demonstrated success in negotiating settlements

• Proven ability to handle high case volume effectively

• Prior experience using FileVine or similar legal case management systems

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar in Georgia or Texas

Skills:
