Specialist, Support (applications Level 2/3) - Information Technology (it)
The Specialist is expected to work under the direction of the IT Support (Apps L2/3) Supervisor on daily support assignments and under the direction of the assigned Project Leader or Project Manager for initiatives of larger scope. The Specialist provides technical, administrative, and troubleshooting support for the Firm’s software applications and systems to which the Specialist is assigned. Responsibilities may include resolving problems escalated from the Help Desk and other IT Teams; communicating with end-users to gather information or prescribe remedies to problems; documenting resolutions and known technical issues, including creating Knowledge Base Articles for Help Desk and other teams; testing software patches/fixes; monitoring the integrity of various systems; assisting developers with developing "bug" fixes and system enhancements; interfacing with various groups within IT; participating in Firm technology projects as requested. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience. One to five years of general Technology experience. Any Microsoft Certification is a plus (i.e. MCSA), as is prior work in a law firm or other professional services organization. Any ITIL certification preferred. Collaborate in developing new development and/or software upgrade and integration initiatives. Must be able to complete projects and assignments outside normal business hours as deemed necessary to meet the Firm’s objectives.
