Employment Litigation Associate

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Employment Litigation Associate to join its team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in employment law and a passion for defending clients in employment-related legal matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation cases, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, non-compete disputes, and more, while advising employers on labor law matters. Duties

• Defend clients in lawsuits involving various employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employment contract disputes.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution settings such as mediation and arbitrations.
• Handle complex employment matters, including class actions, non-compete cases, and tort claims.
• Advise employers on compliance with labor and employment laws, including federal and state regulations, and help develop effective strategies and policies.
• Assist clients in navigating the complexities of workplace law, fostering positive and productive employer-employee relationships.
• Provide legal counsel on a wide array of workplace-related issues and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in employment law.
• Active admission to the Nevada State Bar or the ability to obtain admission quickly.
• In-depth understanding of state and federal employment-related agency procedures, as well as current court practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to excellence in all legal matters.
• Ability to multitask effectively and handle multiple high-stakes cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, with excellent time management and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team while also working independently on various legal projects.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar, or the ability to obtain Nevada Bar admission.
