Part Time Lecturer, Consumer Debt Seminar And Practicum, School of Law
The candidate will teach the Law School’s Consumer Debt Seminar with Practicum. Teaching the course will occur in the Fall 2020 semester. Will develop and teach the course’s one semester seminar and develop and supervise the pro bono legal work representing low-income debtors. The goal of the course is to provide client representation skills and substantive consumer law to J.D. students. The lecturer will collaborate with the Associate Dean for Experiential Education. Should have prior teaching experience, be a skilled supervisor, have substantial knowledge of the debt collection industry, and experience representing clients or working on projects dealing with debt collection.
