Duties

• Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and charitable giving.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer and succession plans.
• Prepare and review complex estate planning documents and related agreements.
• Provide counsel on probate administration and trust management.
• Advise on federal and state tax implications for individuals, estates, and trusts.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to meet client objectives.
• Represent clients in tax-related matters before the IRS and state tax authorities when necessary.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to keep client plans compliant and current.

Requirements

• 20 years of experience in estate and tax planning law.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting estates, trusts, and gifts.
• Proven track record in managing sophisticated client matters and high-value portfolios.
• Strong client relationship management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required.
