Duties

• Represent businesses and insurers in legal matters involving business disputes and insurance coverage issues.
• Analyze legal and factual issues to develop and execute defense strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft complex pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions in alignment with litigation strategies.
• Prepare motions, briefs, and other court filings to support client defense.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on intricate litigation matters.
• Contribute to business development efforts by fostering relationships with clients and identifying growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of post-JD experience in litigation, with a focus on insurance defense and business disputes.
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverage law and related defense practices.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal research and provide strategic legal advice.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to deliver innovative legal solutions.
• Admission to the Wisconsin Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Wisconsin State Bar or ability to obtain admission through reciprocity.
