Job Overview:

A law firm in Richland, WA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employment Law Attorney III to join their team. Duties:

  • Mediate and litigate employment law cases successfully.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Market personal and firm services to prospective clients.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.
  • Exercise due diligence in all legal matters.
  • Maintain strong communication and advocacy skills, including empathetic listening.
  • Manage a schedule to allow for client consultations and closures to meet production/collection objectives.
  • Achieve consult closure rates within the firm's range of 30-50%, depending on the practice area.
  • Approve invoices timely to ensure business health on a monthly cycle.
  • Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.
  • Update client communication (CC) with fees, engagements, trust, client information, and invoices accurately and completely.
  • Share work tasks with other attorneys and support staff to meet community service objectives.
  • Engage in brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board, and organization participation.
  • Seek positive client feedback and star reviews from successful engagements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience as an employment attorney.
  • Significant and successful trial experience.
  • Proven mediation experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Competence in empathetic listening.
  • Ability to manage a busy schedule and meet production/collection objectives.
  • Proficiency in performing due diligence and discovery processes.
  • Capable of actively engaging in marketing and community involvement.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar.

Skills:
