A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Mass Tort group in Manhattan, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of pre-trial litigation and possess strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills. Trial experience is advantageous but not required. Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery.
• Ensure meticulous compliance with billing and reporting guidelines.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and conferences.
• Conduct and lead complex legal research and discovery.
• Draft discovery demands, motions, case evaluations, and legal memoranda.

Requirements

• 3-5 years as an attorney in a defense firm, preferably in Toxic Tort.
• Experience drafting motions and pleadings.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven.
• Proficient in Westlaw and/or Lexis-Nexis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
