Insurance Attorney

Profile

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Insurance Attorney with a specialization in insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, writing, research, and organizational skills, along with exceptional client service abilities. Experience with Directors & Officers (D&O), Errors & Omissions (E&O), Cyber, Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), and other commercial insurance lines is highly desirable. Regulatory expertise is a plus.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on insurance coverage matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance policies, regulations, and case law.
• Draft legal documents, including coverage opinions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Participate in negotiations and settlements with insurers and opposing parties.
• Advise clients on risk management strategies and insurance policy language.
• Stay updated on developments in insurance law and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 3-6 years of relevant legal practice experience.
• Specialization in insurance coverage law.
• Strong understanding of insurance policy language and interpretation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.

Skills:

• Strong speaking, writing, research, and organizational skills.
• Outstanding internal and external client service abilities.
• Experience with D&O, E&O, Cyber, EPLI, and other commercial insurance lines.
• Familiarity with Representations and Warranties (R&W) insurance is advantageous.
• Regulatory expertise is a welcome asset.
