Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with two to four years of experience to join their Technology Transactions team in Portland, OR. This role offers an opportunity to work with experienced advisors, supporting life sciences and tech companies in shaping IP strategies and facilitating key agreements.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at various stages.
• Provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning for technology companies.
• Advise clients on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, and licensing agreements in life sciences and technology sectors.
• Assist in navigating IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions, public offerings, and venture capital financings.
• Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, and more.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions.
• Strong interest in technology transactions for M&A matters and emerging company/venture capital clients.
• Excellent research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• JD is required.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar of the office location.
