The candidate will provide legal services, advice, and consultations to the student population at Texas State. Will analyze a variety of legal issues and advise on legal strategies and potential outcomes. Assist students in legal matters including immigration, civil law, consumer issues, family law, contract law, insurance law, landlord/tenant law, and criminal matters. Provide students with legal advice in a wide variety of legal matters, from simple to complex issues, with the ultimate goal of providing students with the tools necessary to effectively advocate for themselves or how to secure private legal counsel. Present legal seminars to students, staff, faculty, and organizations. Perform other duties as assigned. To remain in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
