The candidate plays a vital role in advancing the firm’s collections and Accounts Receivable management through the oversight and ongoing development of the collections staff and team, processes, and systems in all offices. This position is directly responsible for the optimization of cash collections processes in order to improve the timing of cash applications and the aging of accounts receivable, and will also assist the Treasurer in providing AR inventory support, analysis and reports to firm management. Oversees day-to-day operations of collections function; supervises multi-office Client Finance Analyst staff who handle most of the day to day collections and management of accounts receivable (AR); manages team to peak performance; and passionately pursues accurate reporting of AR and the minimization of aged accounts. Administration of collections software (star*collect). Performs monthly collections forecasts. Maintain and define team metrics, initiate process improvements and changes, work closely with billing, general accounting, client data management, and financial reporting teams. Monitors new client/matter screening applications and retainer arrangements to minimize marginal credits. Utilize and manage outside collections support as needed. Develop team goals and monitor progress towards achievement . Performs all functions of a Client Finance Analyst on an as needed basis. Travel: approximately 25%. Other duties as assigned by the managing partners, CFO, or Treasurer.
