Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of litigation experience, strong oral and written communication skills, and a proven ability to manage and meet deadlines. The attorney will be involved in all phases of litigation, including research, drafting, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other legal documents, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine.
• Take and defend depositions, working effectively in a second-chair capacity if necessary.
• Handle all aspects of discovery in complex litigation matters, ensuring thorough and efficient information gathering.
• Prepare cases for trial, including developing trial strategy, drafting trial briefs, and preparing exhibits and witness lists.
• Participate in evidentiary hearings and trials, gaining experience in state and federal courts.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and legal obligations are fulfilled.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable client outcomes.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of litigation experience, focusing on complex matters.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Hands-on experience with discovery processes in complex cases.
• Prior experience preparing cases for trial.
• Experience with evidentiary hearings and trial proceedings in state and/or federal courts.
• Active Georgia Bar License.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member in good standing of the Georgia Bar Association.
