Duties

• Utilize basic computer skills, including Word, Outlook, e-filing, faxing, and scanning.
• Meet with clients to discuss charges and devise defense strategies.
• Conduct legal and factual research to achieve optimal results.
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on plea offers and strategies.
• Negotiate and complete plea agreements with prosecutors.
• Communicate with courts to manage pretrial hearings and plea agreements.
• Appeal to county courts when necessary.
• Assist clients with executing plea bargains and agreements.
• Advise clients on the impact of their plea agreements.

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary; training provided.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills
