Job Overview

A distinguished family law firm in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Attorney. The role focuses on managing diverse family law cases, providing strategic legal representation, and helping clients resolve sensitive domestic matters. This position does not require business development efforts, allowing attorneys to dedicate their time to client advocacy and case management.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and child support.
• Prepare legal documents, conduct discovery, and represent clients in mediations and trials.
• Provide expert advice and develop strategies tailored to client needs.
• Handle sensitive cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and complex custody disputes.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, offering empathy and clarity throughout the legal process.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience in family law, including handling cases independently.
• Active Texas State Bar license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and a genuine commitment to client advocacy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed by the State Bar of Texas.

Skills

• Proficiency in family law practices, including litigation and mediation.
• Ability to handle emotionally charged cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
