Duties

• Manage removal defense cases, including detained matters.
• Appear before Immigration Court for master and individual hearings.
• Prepare motions, briefs, bond packets, and related filings.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and families.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality representation.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in good standing (Illinois preferred).
• 3-5 years of immigration law experience, with a strong focus on removal defense.
• Demonstrated experience handling detained cases independently.
• Familiarity with EOIR procedures and immigration court practice.
• Strong writing, advocacy, and client communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license in good standing.

Skills

• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Excellent writing and advocacy skills.
