A prominent law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its highly regarded Banking and Finance practice. The ideal candidate will support a broad portfolio of sophisticated lending and borrowing transactions across domestic and international markets, including private credit deals, syndicated lending, and capital growth financing. Duties:

• Represent institutional lenders and corporate borrowers in complex finance transactions

• Draft and negotiate loan agreements and related documentation for secured and unsecured financing deals

• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams on domestic and cross-border transactions

• Advise clients on transactional structure, risk analysis, and compliance matters

• Support due diligence, closing processes, and post-closing integration

• Communicate regularly with clients, ensuring responsiveness and high-quality service delivery

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of experience in banking and finance law at a large or mid-sized law firm

• Demonstrated experience managing private credit, syndicated, and other lending transactions

• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication abilities

• Proven capability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines

• Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills

• Advanced negotiation and contract drafting expertise

• Effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

• High attention to detail and organizational proficiency

• Familiarity with market trends and commercial finance practices
