Job Overview:

A respected immigration law firm in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking a qualified and motivated Immigration Attorney with a focus on Consular Processing. This role presents a valuable opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain hands-on experience, manage a high-impact caseload, and collaborate closely with a team of experienced immigration professionals. The position reports to the Senior Associate Attorney and offers clear pathways for growth and advancement.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Manage caseload involving consular processing and related waivers (I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, and K-Visas)

  • Prepare clients for consulate interviews and provide follow-up support

  • Represent clients before USCIS in various matters

  • Review immigration packets prepared by staff and ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Supervise a team of paralegals to ensure productivity targets and case timelines are met

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to determine immigration relief eligibility

  • Draft and submit legal briefs and supporting documents for a range of case types

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding case progress and legal strategies

Requirements:

  • 1–4 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on consular processing and related waivers

  • Proven ability to manage and advance legal cases efficiently

  • Strong commitment to client service and legal ethics

  • Prior experience supervising or collaborating with legal support staff

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Proficient in immigration law and procedures, particularly in consular processing and hardship waivers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience using immigration case management software (preferred)

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
