A well-established plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Tampa, Florida is seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience. This full-time role focuses on managing a high-volume caseload of complex personal injury cases through all phases of litigation, including trial. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with proven courtroom experience, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage both legal matters and support staff efficiently.

Duties

• Manage a large caseload of personal injury litigation matters

• Prepare and handle cases through trial, including trial strategy and courtroom representation

• Draft legal documents including complaints, discovery, motions, and settlement agreements

• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings

• Evaluate case value and determine appropriate settlement strategies

• Prepare mediation summaries and negotiate case resolutions

• Supervise and collaborate with assigned paralegal(s)

• Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure high service standards

• Maintain consistent attendance and reliability in a fast-paced legal setting

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience

• Prior jury trial experience required

• Ability to manage high-volume and complex case files independently

• Demonstrated ability to lead litigation and case preparation efforts

• Excellent client service and verbal communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar

Skills

• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy

• Ability to evaluate complex legal and factual issues

• Superior organizational and time management skills

• Experience supervising support staff or legal assistants/paralegals

• Proficient in litigation technology tools and case management software
